THRIVE Model of Psychedelic Integration

Although there are methods and activities of integration, currently, there is no cohesive model to assist and guide individuals in the integration of psychedelic experience. Further, all of the methods being used for integration begin after a psychedelic experience and do not pay tribute to or capture the true potential of the psychedelic experience.

At AHWI Psychology Group, we utilize the THRIVE Model of Psychedelic Integration™ developed by Dr. Ashvind Adkins Singh that combines the knowledge, wisdom, and traditions from indigenous cultures, evidence from modern psychedelic research, and psychoeducation into a holistic evidence-based case-formulation framework. This framework guides the identification and assessment of specific areas relative to the human experience that history and research have shown to be the most relevant to the integration of psychedelic experiences and journeys.

The THRIVE Model of Psychedelic Integration™ works to begin the integration process before the psychedelic experience to set the stage at the neuronal level for the true growth and transformative healing and change that is possible through psychedelic medicine.

THRIVE Respondent Interview Protocol (TRIP)

The THRIVE Model of Psychedelic Integration™ also addresses the limitations of currently prescribed methods of integration that utilize psychotherapy and coaching as their exclusive basis by conceptualizing integration along six dimensions, or facets, of experience. Utilizing the THRIVE Respondent Interview Protocol (TRIP)™, information and data are collected across each of the six dimensions of experience to establish how an individual relates to their world now and in the past in order to develop individualized goals and intentions to help individuals realize how they want to relate to their world in the future. Specific evidence-based integration practices and activities are then identified and implemented, thus providing an individualized pathway towards long-term healing.

By examining each of the six facets of human experience, AHWI Psychology is able to help and guide individuals:

  1. Identify and clarify goals

  2. Identify areas of strength, challenge, potential, and growth

  3. Identify and begin developing specific integration practices, habits, skills, education, and training that are taken into and strengthened by the psychedelic experience

  4. Set appropriate intentions and identify the right setting

  5. Continue integration of the psychedelic experience to promote true healing and create sustainable long-term change

AHWI Psychology Group currently provides training on the use of the THRIVE Model of Psychedelic Integration™ and the THRIVE Respondent Interview Protocol (TRIP)™ in clinical, coaching, and research settings across the globe.
